The second gen Ford Focus has very similar car stereo wiring to the first generation. There are two exceptions however that you must be aware of. The second generation Focus Stereo Wiring uses the switched 12 volt accessory through the car's CAN data network. This wire is a GRAY wire with a ORANGE stripe, or a VIOLET wire with an ORANGE STRIPE.

Also you will need to wire the Focus Stereo Wiring illumination through the GRAY wire with an ORANGE stripe, or a VIOLET wire with an ORANGE STRIPE. Like the 12 volt accessory, the Focus Stereo Wiring illumination is controlled through the CAN data network.
